.......my Love for Japanese food......
Im a self confessed Japanese food addict! i can eat as much as 10-15 sushi's,-maki's 1 bento box meal, tempura, udon, yakiniku, soba in one sitting hahahahah..... I remember when i was a kid i would always dreamed of traveling to japan (hndi para mag japayuki o aney ha) just to see how japanese chef's make their own bento meals... curious that i am i wanted to know how they grew their rice why it taste far diff from the rice we serve in our tables.... i wanna see how they shape their sushi just so perfect.. how they knead their own noodles and see cherry blossoms blooms during its season (wow cherry blossoms daw)
Way way way back (yes ang dming way backs) When i was on my 6th grade @ SMA i would always see my schoolmate who is i believe na haponesa (di lng ako msyadong sure bka portrayal lang hahahahah). She would always have our lunch packed in a bento box way (shalan ng haponesa). Funny but i remember that time ,i don't know what it was called, hahahah kya i called it match box case, from then on i would always admire how japanese prepare their fud, from frying their tamago (egg) - na so perfect ang shape, to their tako (octopus-na kung san san present sa ibat ibang luto nla)to getting the freshsess maguro (tuna) and how their soba noodles are cooked -japaNICE style......
My curiousity resulted to being passionate about the fud i so adore and love today.
Does anybody here watched Oh Tokyo before? its a show that features places, fud, happennings. Wanna know whats fascinating about JAPAN? well u should have watched this.... (dyusme amazing ang pinay na host nito.... ang fave line nya sima-sen) hahahahah!
Oh Tokyo featured diff. styles of bento meals making... (aliw na aliw ako). Even pinays who stayed there makes Some of the best beno ir own bento ... and mind u .. bento meals FIL-JAPS inspired meal.... amazing! One of the best BENTO arrangements i ever seen on tv was the one made by a 16yrs. old japanice lady who won bento box making contest winnah! (winnah nman tlgah ang gawa nya) Uber creative.... so into details... no wonder she hails and won the tittle! You'll be inspired seeing her made her very own bento meal...Parang gsto ko ding kari-rin mga okamah!
one time when UNO and i busy checking some Kitchen gadgets i saw this bento box set , it was an ordinary black set with a stand (shalan -elevated) loveleeeh i checked the price and was shocked (literal - tulaley) wohohohoooow its a whoooping 2,500 for 1 set.... (ka-mahal). Too much, too expensive for 1 set of box (gawa ba sa ivory yan at ke mahal) i said i dont mind not having 1 since i will not cook and eat japanese all the time.... there actually times lng nman when i cant control my cravings and wanted to cook what i see on tv or mag. As u can see most of my posts were all because of that makapangyarihang cravings..(buti nga lang h2 lang ang mga munting cravings ko.... hndi nman ka guilty2 after). hahahahaha yes me paliwanag?
