Heard a lot of good and mouth watering comments , on how Dongbei's Kutchay Dumplings tastes like... So when Uno and I went to Binondo to check Pentax's Service Center, we did pay a visit to DongBei... too bad my digicam was not in good shape during our visit.... :(
The place was too small to accompany 15 pax, you can see the actual making of dumplings right in front of you since they use the 1st table in assembling the "STAR" (refers to the much talked about dumplings). For us the place isn't inviting nor something to look forward too, but when you get to taste the freshly steamed kutchay dumplings ,you would say to yourself you will comeback for more.....
We ordered Kutchay Dumpling's with Pork, Ramen that i can't remember the name hahahahah :D (as always... memory wise im poor as in poor with that bhwahahahhaha) and steamed xia long pao.... My husband go nuts with what was serve... he was swelling all out munching authentic Chinese foodies....:D
I let him finished my ramen because im anticipating roast deli shops and Masuki Noodle House foodies as our next stop after the dumpling experience....we walked the streets of Binondo and discover a lot of hidden and untold authentic Chinese resto in between streets of Ongpin.
While were on our walking spree we bought TIKOY (rice cake) PHP 80.00 for the BIG, PHP 40 for the MEDIUM and PHP 25 for the MINI hihihihi CUTEY.... Cheaper compare to those we saw at the supermarkets. The Roast kiosk are everywhere, a heaven for me and for my hubby... It's Like Dejavu .... we were exactly at the same place when we were in Hong Kong. It's like bringing back our HK memories....
